2025-26 가람반 안내문

안녕하세요!

시애틀 통합한국학교 가람반에 오신것을 진심으로 환영합니다. 저는 2025~2026년도 2학기 가람반(성인 1반)을 맡게 된 교사 신상용 입니다. 

가람반은 성인 초급반으로 세종한국어 회화1 교재 및 다양한 부교재들을 활용하여 한국어에 대한 관심과 학생들의 목표를 달성할 수 있도록 다양한 회화를 중심으로 수업을 진행하려고 합니다. 언어 학습과 함께 한국문화와 K-POP, K-Drama에 대해서도 배우는 시간이 될 것입니다. 

첨부된 2학기 학습지도계획안을 통해 2학기에는 더 다양한 표현 및 회화를 배울 수 있으면 좋겠습니다. 2학기가 마칠때 모든 학생이 뜻은 모르더라도 한글을 읽고 말하고 쓸 수 있기를 바랍니다. 

가람반 수업은 토요일 오전 9:30 부터 오후 12:30까지 대면으로 진행됩니다. 2월 7일에 첫 수업을 시작합니다.  

수업을 시작하고 2주 내에만 반 이동이 가능합니다. 반을 교체하고 싶으신 분들은 저에게 먼저 알려주시기 바랍니다.

Welcome to the Garam Class at the United Seattle Korean School.

My name is Sangyong Syn, and I will be teaching the Garam Class (Adult Level 1) during the 2nd semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.

The Garam Class is a beginner-level adult Korean class. Using Sejong Korean Conversation 1 as the main textbook, along with a variety of supplementary materials, the course will focus on practical conversational Korean to help students build interest in the language and achieve their individual learning goals. In addition to language learning, students will also have opportunities to explore Korean culture, K-pop, and K-dramas.

Please refer to the attached 2nd semester instructional plan, which outlines the learning goals and topics for the semester. By the end of the second semester, I hope that all students will be able to read, speak, and write Hangul, even if they do not fully understand the meaning of every word.

The Garam Class will be held in person on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the first class beginning on February 7.

Class transfers are only allowed within the first two weeks after classes begin. If you wish to change classes, please inform me in advance.
