25년도 자유 1학기 수업 안내 > 자유반

자유반 학부모님께,

이번 한 해동안 자유반을 맡게 된 담임 고지혁입니다. 시애틀 통합 한국학교를 통해 만나 뵙게 되어 반갑습니다. 자유반은 초등 3-5학년으로 구성된 기초반입니다. 자유반을 통해 학생들은 한글 모음과 자음을 익히는 것을 목표로 하며, 기초적인 말하기, 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기에 익숙해질 것입니다. 또한 한국의 전통, 문화, 공휴일에 대해서도 배우게됩니다. 한 학년 동안 사용되어질 교재는 ‘맞춤한국어 1’입니다.
아이들에게 한국어를 가르치는 첫 해인만큼 보람된 시간이 되길 소망합니다. 아이들이 적극적으로 수업에 참여하고 즐겁고 재미있게 공부에 참여할 수 있도록 노력하겠습니다. 학부모님들께서는 아이들이 집에서도 한국어를 사용하도록 격려해 주시길 바라며 귀하의 협조와 지원에 미리 감사드립니다.

2025-2026년 시애틀 통합 한국학교 주소는 19527 104th Ave NE, Bothell, WA 98011, 자유반은 C-304 (아래 지도 참고)입니다.  

수업 시간 및 학급 시간표: 매주 토요일 오전 9:30-오후 12:30 (특별활동반은 오후1:30종료)

준비물: 교과서*, 필기도구 (연필 & 지우개), 색연필, 마커(Markers), 바인더, 점심, 물통

*교과서는 학교에서 제공 됩니다.

기타 사항: 

• 아이들의 컨디션이 좋지 못하거나, 아래의 증상이 있다면 집에서 쉬게 해주세요: 열, 두통, 기침, 콧물, 구토, 설사 등.

• Korean Class-자유반 게시판에는 학부모님께 드리는 안내문과 간단한 수업 내용 및 숙제 등이 업데이트 될
  예정이오니, 매주 확인해 주시기 바랍니다.

• 10월 4일에는 추석 행사를 할 예정입니다. 원하는 자녀에 한해서 한복을 입혀서 보내주시기 바랍니다.

Dear Parents and Guardians of Jayu Class, 

Welcome to 3rd – 5th Grades of Korean Beginning 1! My name is Chihyeok Ko , and I am so excited to be your child’s Korean school class teacher this year! In this class (자유반 – Jayu), students will learn a basic level of Korean upon completion of Nara class (Introduction) or students whose level are equivalent to Introduction to Beginner level. This class is aimed at sounding out the Korean alphabet (vowels and consonants) comfortably and students will be getting familiar with speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Korean as a beginner. They will also learn Korean traditions, culture, and special occasions. Textbooks ‘Customized Korean 1’ will be used throughout the year.

I am thrilled to be starting this year’s journey as this will be my first year to teach Korean and I am looking forward to a fantastic year full of joyful experiences of learning Korean and its culture. Please encourage your child to use Korean at home.  I appreciate your cooperation and support for your child and class in advance.

This year, USBKS-Seattle school has been moved to 19527 104th Ave NE, Bothell, WA 98011 

Our classroom Jayu is in the lower level, Room# C-304 (see below maps).

Class Time & Schedule: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM Every Saturday (Enrichment class ends at 1:30 PM)

*Note: School does not provide lunch. Each student must bring their own food.
Also, food is not to be shared with others due to the various allergies that students may have.

Class Materials: Textbooks (will be provided), writing utensils (Pencils & eraser), color pencils, dry erase marker, binder, Lunch & Water

Other Information:

• If your child is sick or has any signs or symptoms of fever, headache, runny nose, cough, or diarrhea/vomiting, we advise that your child stays at home. 

• If your child will be late or absent, please email me at your earliest convenience: chihyeok.ko@usbks.org 

• Class Website: Each week’s homework, summary of our class, newsletters, and announcements will be posted on the class website so please check it on a weekly basis. 

• We will celebrate Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) on October 4th, 2025. If your child has a hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) and they wish to wear it, we encourage them to wear it for school.
