1. When the verb endings -래요 or -을래요 are added, they can be used to express intention or willingness.
자기 의향 말하기
저 오늘 일찍 잘래요. → I want to sleep early today.
저는 김밥 먹을래요. → I’d like to eat gimbap.
영화 볼래요. → I want to watch a movie.
상대에게 의향 물어보기 Ask other's willingness.
뭐 먹을래요? → What do you want to eat?
같이 갈래요? → Do you want to go together?
주스 마실래요? → Would you like to drink some juice?
2. Adjectives conjugate like verbs do!
The conjugation of 으 irregular stems depends on the vowel that comes right before “ㅡ”. When the preceding vowel is ㅏ or ㅗ, ㅡ is dropped and 아요 is added.
Otherwise, ㅡ is dropped and 어요 is added. If there is no other vowel after ㅡis dropped, als add -어요. : 쓰다 -> 써요.
나쁘다. 바쁘다. 배고프다 → drop ㅡ , add 아요.
예쁘다, 크다 → drop ㅡ, add 어요.
