12/16 Class Recap > 가람반 (Adult 1)

Hello,

Today the students who could not make it last week took the final exam. The exam tested us on our knowledge of everything we learned so far. This included: Korean alphabet, classroom vocabulary, counting, conjugations, sentence structure, and culture. 

Then we looked over the exam and figured out the correct answers together. 

Then we learned a little bit about the legend of 단군, the credited founder to the first Korean kingdom. This kingdom, 고조선, would go through many wars, rulers, eras, and kingdoms, before eventually becoming the Korea we know today. 

Then we learned a bit about 직지, 직지 is the oldest surviving manuscript made by a metal printing method, even before Gutenberg was credited with the first printing press. We looked at a replication of Jikji and discussed the importance of printing technology.
