안녕하세요. 

2025-26년도 벨뷰 통합한국학교 나비반을 맡게된 최신옥입니다.

이 이메일을 받으셨다면 귀하의 4살 자녀는 이번학기 나비반으로 배정되었습니다.

나비반은 유아 (4세, Pre-K) 를 대상으로한 한국어 입문반으로, 한국어를 처음 접하는 학생들에게 흥미 위주로, 한국어와 한국문화를 보다 자연스럽고 친근하게 소개하는 시간이 될 것입니다. 한글의 자음, 모음 학습을 중심으로 기본 말하기, 듣기, 쓰기, 읽기 능력을 골고루 향상하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 매주 언어 학습과 더불어 한국 문화 익히기 및 놀이 활동이 골고루 준비되어 있으니. 학생들이 한국학교 가는 토요일 아침을 즐겁게 기대했으면 좋겠습니다.

저희 수업시간에는 기본준비물이 필요합니다. 원할한 수업진행을 위해, 학생들이 준비물을 항상 가지고 다닐 수 있도록 협조 부탁드리겠습니다.

• 교실:  #1201

• 수업시간: 9:05-11:45 AM

• 교과서: 9/27 수업시간에 배부예정

• 준비물 : 연필, 지우개, 가위, 글루스틱 (딱풀), 12색 색연필, 필통, 스쿨백팩 크기의 (교과서와 바인더가 들어갈 사이즈) 책가방 

• 간식과 개인물통: 10분내에 간단히 먹을수있는 간식 (견과류 제외)

• 여벌옷

(각 물건에 반드시 이름표를 붙여서 보내주세요)

다음 안내사항입니다.

1. 3교시 미술이나 만들기, 놀이 활동 동안, 학생들 옷에 물감이 튀거나 자국이 생기는 일이 있을수 있습니다. 수업이 있는 날에는 활동하기 편하고 얼룩이 묻어도 괜찮은 옷을 입혀 등교 시켜주세요.

2. 매주 수업후, 수업내용, 숙제, 학생들의 활동사진등이 학교 홈페이지 나비반에 업데이트됩니다. 학생들과 같이 들어가 보시고, 많은 칭찬과 격려 부탁드립니다.

3. 1학기 학습지도 계획표를 첨부했습니다. 계획표는 상황에 따라 변경될 수 있음을 미리 알려드립니다.

4. 결석이 있는 학생은 꼭 미리 알려주시면, 수업 준비에 도움이 됩니다. 

5. 9/20의 결석자 추가 반배치고사후, 반이동이 있을 수 있습니다.

Dear Parents,

My name is Sinok Choi (Ms. Choi), and I’m delighted to be teaching the NaBi Class for the 2025–26 school year at Bellevue Korean School. If you’ve received this email, it means your 4-year-old child has been placed in the Nabi Class for this semester.

The Nabi Class is an introductory Korean language class for Pre-K students (age 4). Our goal is to introduce Korean language and culture in a fun, engaging, and friendly way, especially for children who are encountering Korean for the first time. We will focus on learning Hangul(Korean) consonants and vowels while helping students build balanced skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Each week, the curriculum will include language learning, cultural exploration, and play-based activities. I hope Saturday mornings at Korean School become something your child looks forward to with excitement.

To ensure smooth and effective lessons, students will need to bring basic supplies to class each week. Your cooperation in helping your child consistently bring their materials is greatly appreciated.

• Classroom: #1201

• Class Time: 9:05–11:45 AM

• Textbook: Will be distributed during class on September 27

• Supplies: Pencil, eraser, scissors, glue stick, 12-color colored pencils, pencil case, and a backpack large enough to fit a textbook and a binder

• Snack & Water Bottle: A simple snack that can be eaten within 10 minutes (No nuts please!)

• Extra Clothes: Please pack a change of clothes in a bag for emergencies

           (Important: Be sure to label all items with your child’s name.)

A few important reminders are as below.

1. During the 3rd period activities, arts & craft, the clothes might get dirty. It would be a better idea to dress your child in comfortable clothing that can get messy without concern.

2.  After each class, a summary of today’s lesson along with photos of student activities and their homework will be uploaded to NaBi class under Korean Classes on the school homepage. I encourage you to visit the page with your child and offer lots of praise and encouragement.

3. Attached you can find our curriculum plan. Please note that the curriculum may subject to change without notice.

4. If your child will be absent, kindly let me know in advance. It helps greatly with class preparation.

5. After make-up placement test on 9/20, there might be some changes in class placement.
