강아지반 학부모님들께,

안녕하세요. 2023-24년도 벨뷰 통합 한국학교 강아지반을 맡게 된 이지민입니다. 

강아지반 아이들을 기다리면서 이 편지를 쓰는 제 마음이 무척 설렙니다.

강아지반은 유치원 학생들로 구성된 입문반으로서 자음, 모음 학습을 중심으로 기본 말하기, 듣기, 쓰기, 읽기 능력을 골고루 향상하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 대부분의 학생들이 가정에서 한국어를 사용하지 않으며, 한국어를 처음 배우는 학생들이 많은 강아지반 특성에 따라 수업 과정은 한국어 말하기 듣기, 그리고 한국 문화를 조금 더 가깝게 느낄 수 있는 흥미 위주의 활동들로 구성되어 있습니다. 

아이들이 한국어와 한국에 대해 조금씩 흥미를 갖고 관심을 가지면서, 즐겁게 한국어를 배우는 것이 저희 강아지반의 목표입니다.

매주 한글수업과 더불어 한국 문화 익히기 및 놀이 활동이 준비되어 있으니, 학생들이 수업에 빠지지 않고 참석하여 즐거운 시간을 함께 할 수 있으면 좋겠습니다.

Dear Parents/Guardians of GangAJi Class,

Hello, my name is Jimin Lee. I will teach GangAJi class in 2023-2024 school year.

I cannot wait to meet my students. GangAJi class is an introduction-level class designed for Kindergarteners in which we introduce students to basic consonants and vowels of the Korean language. Through this course, students will develop all four areas of language learning – reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Since many students come from non-Korean-speaking backgrounds and are new to the language, our curriculum will focus on increasing interest in the Korean language and culture.  

Our goal in this class is that students have fun learning Korean. Students will learn Korean culture with lots of activities as well.
