안녕하세요!
Yesterday (2/3) was the first day of the 2nd semester, and we had an opportunity to meet our new TA and new classmates. We reviewed the Maehaw Classroom expectations, grading system, class routine, and plans for the 2nd semester. (See ‘A Letter to Families’ and ‘The 2nd Semester Overview’ in the most recent announcement post.) We also played various games to learn and practice basic nouns and verbs that students need to master as we move on to new lessons. I look forward to another fun and productive semester with the students!
***Please have your students sign up on my Quizlet page (a program for their vocab assignments). It’s important for them to sign up so that I can monitor their activities.

Next week (2/10), there will be a Seollal (Korean New Year’s Day) event, 설날 행사. Students will get to experience the culture of Seollal by trying ‘Ddeokguk (떡국)’, big bow (세배), and some traditional games (윷놀이, 공기, 제기 차기). Please have your students to wear Hanbok 한복 if they have it, and let me know if they have any allergies and should not have 떡국. 고맙습니다!
