봉숭아반 학부모님들께, 

안녕하세요. 귀하의 자녀들은 지난주 배치고사를 통해서 2024-25년 봉숭아반으로 배정되었음을 알려드립니다.

저는 2024-25 년도 벨뷰 통합 한국학교에서 봉숭아반(Rm 2303)을 맡게된 정지소입니다. 한글과 한국문화, 그리고 아이들을 사랑하는 마음으로 즐거운 봉숭아반을 만들어 갈 수 있도록 학부모님들의 많은 도움 부탁드리겠습니다. 

봉숭아반은 초등 3-5학년으로 구성된 초급반으로서 자음, 모음 학습을 중심으로 기본적인 말하기, 듣기, 쓰기, 읽기 능력을 골고루 향상하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 전체적인 같은 지도계획 아래 개개인의 수준과 학습 속도를 고려하고 스몰그룹으로 나누어 차별화된 수업도 병행할 예정입니다. 

언어습득이라는 큰 틀을 바탕으로 반 학생들이 흥미를 가지고 재미있게 배울수 있는 즐거운 배움터를 만들고자 합니다. 매주 언어 학습과 함께 더불어 한국문화 익히기 및 예절교육도 준비되어 있습니다. 

다음은 봉숭아반에서 함께 학습하게 될 학생명단 입니다.

스케쥴 : 9:00 - 11:50AM / Rm 2303 at Tyee middle school 

보다 원할하고 효율적인 학습을 위해 다음의 준비물을 꼭 챙겨주시기 바랍니다. 

준비물

• 교과서 (9월 21일 배부예정): 맞춤 한국어 1 

• 폴더: 한글학교 전용 

• 개인물병 및 간식 : 10-15분 정도 이내 간단하게 먹을수 있는 간식(견과류제외)

*주의를 요하는 알러지나 건강 상태가 있다면 알려 주시기 바랍니다.

• 노트, 연필, 지우개, 색연필, 가위,풀 및 개인 학용품 

매주 숙제와 더불어 추가 준비물등을 부모님께서 확인해 주시기 바랍니다.

*숙제, 준비물, 수업내용은 학교 웹페이지 (www.usbks.us)에 있는 반별 페이지 “봉숭아반"에서 확인 하실 수 있습니다.

올해부터 저희 3-5학년에 봉숭아반 (입문반) 이 증반되었습니다. 많은 학생들이 저희 학교를 선택해 주신 데 대해 감사드리며, 이에 따라 학급 편성이 예년과 달라짐을 알려 드립니다. 학생들의 한국어 실력 향상을 위해 학생들의 한국어 수준을 보다 구체적으로 평가하여 학급을 배정하기 위해 노력 하였습니다. 이에 따라 향후 1-2주간은 아이들의 반 이동이 있을 수 있음 또한 미리 알려 드리는  바입니다. 반편성에 대한 질문은 학년 부장 이희경 선생님께 (loyce.lee@usbks.org) 문의해 주시기 바랍니다.

아이들의 숙제를 지도해 주시고 가정에서도 자녀와 함께 한글과 한국어를 많이 사용해주세요. 

지각 및 결석시 미리 이메일로 알려주세요. 또한 학기시작 후 첫 2주간은 학생의 레벨에 따라서 클래스 변동이 가능함을 알려드립니다.

혹시 설문지를 제출하지 못한 부모님들께서는 첨부된 설문지 파일을 작성하셔서 21일 제출하여 주시기 바랍니다.

Grade 3- 5 Classroom BongSoongAh  

Dear Parents and Guardians of BongSoongAh class(Rm # 2303)

Hello, I am informing you that your child has been placed in the BongSoongAh classroom for the 2024-25 school year,  based on the test last week. My name is Jiso Chong and I am so excited to be teaching BongSoongAh class this year. I will do my best to teach the Korean language and culture to your student this year. 

 BongSoongAh Class  is a beginning-level class designed for 3rd to 5th graders in which we introduce students of basic consonants and vowels of the Korean language. Furthermore, the students will get a chance to develop in four different areas of language which are speaking, listening, writing, and reading. Understanding that all students learn at a different pace, we will be providing lessons and activities that will accommodate the levels of each individual student in a small group. At the same time, we will build a warm and meaningful learning community in which everyone is cooperating and helping each other to achieve our ultimate goal of learning the Korean language. Please see the following information and help your child  prepare for the class.

The following is the list of students in BongSoongAh Class.

• Schedule: Sat 9:00 - 11:50 am / Room 2303 at Tyee Middle School

Please be sure to have your child bring these supplies to class.

• Folder: Handouts, including assignments, will be placed here.

• Notebook, 3-4 Pencils, eraser and personal school supply (color pencil, glue, scissors)

• Textbook (to be distributed on September 21st)

• Nut free snack and water

*Please let me know if your child has any food allergies that we need to be aware of.

Assignments, supply list and lessons will be posted on the school web page (www.usbks.us) under BongSoongAh class.

Please email me in advance if your child will be absent and don’t hesitate to email me if you have any questions and concerns. Also, please be aware that students can be moved to another class within the first two weeks of the school year.

If you have not turned in the survey form, please turn it in by the 21st of September.
