Hello,

This week, there is a major Korean holiday called Chuseok. It would be wonderful if children who have hanboks could wear them 

to school. 

Here's what we learned this week:

Discussing the Previous Week's Story Reading: "The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats" 

                                                                  Share the actions of the characters in the story. 

Encourage the children to talk about the themes or lessons of the story. Learning Polite and Casual Expressions

Teach the difference between polite language (존댓말) and casual language (반말). 

                                              Practice phrases such as "죄송합니다" (I'm sorry) and "미안해" (Sorry).

                                              Practice greetings like "안녕하세요?" (Hello?) and "안녕?" (Hi).

Learn how to ask someone's name politely: "이름이 뭐예요?" (What is your name?) and casually: 

                                                            "이름이 뭐야?" (What's your name?).

Introducing Consonants (14) and all Vowels (10)

                                          Korean consonants and vowels. 

                                          Learned vowel sounds: 아 (a), 야 (ya), 어 (eo), 여 (yeo), 이 (i).

Homework

Write your friend's name. 

Write "제 이름은 [Your Name] 입니다" (My name is [Your Name]), five times in your notebook.

Color the illustrations from this week's story, "The Rabbit and the Duck."
