먼저 티셔츠 디자인 공모전 마감일이 11월 1일로 연기되었습니다.
First, the T-shirt Design Contest deadline has been extended to November 1.

더 좋은 아이디어가 있거나 아직 제출하지 못한 친구는 11월 1일까지 꼭 제출해주세요.
 if your child has new ideas or has not turned it in yet, please make sure to submit it by November 1.

이번 주에는 독도의 날에 대해 배웠고, 음악 시간에 〈아리랑〉, 〈독도는 우리 땅〉, 〈태권도〉, 〈멋쟁이 토마토〉 노래를 불렀습니다.

This week, we learned about Dokdo Day ​and during music time, students sang <Arirang>, <Dokdo Belongs to Korea>, <Taekwondo>,and <Awesome Red Tomato>.

숙제는 〈한글이 야호〉 동화 프린트 마무리와 ‘아–이, 가–기, 나–니’ 글자 복습입니다. 프린트는 대부분 ‘ㅇ, ㄱ, ㄴ’으로 구성된 글자가 많아 읽기 연습에 도움이 됩니다. 숙제를 일찍 끝낸 친구는 영상(링크)을 보며 스스로 읽어볼 수 있도록 도와주세요.
Homework: Please help your child finish the “Hangeul-i Yaho” story worksheet and review the letters 아–이, 가–기, 나–니. The printout includes words made mostly with ㅇ, ㄱ, ㄴ, which is great for reading practice. If your child finishes early, encourage them to watch the video (링크)and read along.

받아쓰기는 ‘아–이, 가–기, 나–니’ 낱글자입니다.
읽기는 잘하지만 듣고 쓰는 것에 어려움을 느끼는 친구들이 많으니, 가정에서도 함께 연습해 주시면 좋겠습니다.
For dictation, students will write the single letters 아–이, 가–기, 나–니.
Many students can read well but still find it difficult to write what they hear, so practicing together at home will be very helpful.

마지막으로, 최근 수업 중 아이들 사이에서 상처 주는 말이나 놀리는 말이 오가며 마음이 불편해지는 일이 있었습니다.
모든 아이가 즐겁고 안전하게 배울 수 있도록 우리 반에서는 ‘존중하는 말’ 규칙을 강화할 예정입니다. 
가정에서도 “듣는 사람이 기분 좋은 말로 표현하기”에 대해 함께 이야기해 주시면 큰 도움이 되겠습니다.

Recently, we have noticed that some unkind or hurtful words were used among students during class, and a few friends felt upset because of them.
To make our classroom a safe and happy place for everyone, we are going to reinforce our “Respectful Words” rule.
Please take a few minutes at home to talk with your child about using kind and respectful words that make others feel good.
Your support makes a big difference.
