통일반 학부모님들께,

안녕하세요?
새 학기를 맞아 다시 인사드리게 되어 반갑습니다.
2025–26학년도 **2학기 통일반(3–5학년 초급반 1)**을 맡게 된 담임교사 정다희입니다.
지난 학기에 이어 이번 학기에도 시애틀 통합 한국학교 통일반과 함께해 주셔서 진심으로 감사드립니다.

먼저, 지난 학기 동안 아이들의 학습을 위해 보내주신 학부모님들의 관심과 협조에 다시 한번 깊이 감사드립니다.
가정에서의 꾸준한 서포트 덕분에 아이들이 학교 수업에 안정적으로 참여하며 한 학기를 잘 마무리할 수 있었습니다. 통일반은 한국어 학습의 기초를 다지는 단계에 있는 학생들을 위한 반입니다.

교재 『맞춤 한국어 2』를 중심으로 읽기와 쓰기의 기본기를 익히고, 그림책, 동요, 놀이 활동을 통해 듣기와 말하기를 자연스럽게 연습할 수 있도록 수업을 구성하였습니다.

아이들이 교실에서 배운 표현을 생활 속에서도 활용할 수 있도록 짧은 문장과 반복 학습에 중점을 두고 있으며,
언어 학습과 더불어 한국의 문화, 전통, 역사, 생활 예절과 관련된 내용도 함께 다룰 예정입니다.

수업은 바텔(Bothell)에 위치한 Heritage Christian Academy에서
매주 토요일 오전 9시 30분부터 오후 12시 30분까지 대면 수업으로 진행됩니다
(점심시간: 11:20–11:50).

수업 안내

• 교실: C311

• 교재: 맞춤 한국어 2

• 준비물:
  교과서, 받아쓰기장, 일기장, 필기도구(연필, 지우개, 색연필/마커),
  가위, 풀, 테이프, 1인치 바인더, 미니 화이트보드, 보드마커

• 간식: 학교에서 점심은 제공되지 않으므로 간식과 물을 꼭 준비해 주세요.

• 알레르기: 자녀에게 음식 알레르기가 있는 경우 반드시 미리 알려 주시기 바랍니다.

• 가정 학습: 학습 계획표와 학교 웹사이트 공지(수업 요약·숙제)를 확인하시고,
  가정에서도 한국어 사용을 꾸준히 격려해 주세요.

• 출결: 지각이나 결석이 예상되는 경우 미리 이메일로 연락 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

수업 사진 안내

수업 중 아이들의 활동 모습을 기록하기 위해 사진을 촬영하는 경우가 있습니다.
학교 홈페이지에는 사진 게시가 제한적인 관계로, 통일반은 별도의 페이스북 그룹을 통해 수업 사진과 활동 모습을 공유할 예정입니다. 학기 시작 시 페이스북 그룹 초대 메일을 발송드릴 예정이며, 해당 그룹을 통해 아이들의 수업 모습을 확인하실 수 있습니다.

만약 자녀의 사진 공유를 원하지 않으시는 경우, 개별적으로 미리 알려 주시기 바랍니다.

2학기에도 아이들이 자신감을 가지고 한국어를 배우며 즐겁게 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠습니다.
학부모님들의 지속적인 관심과 협조를 부탁드립니다.

Tongil Class – Second Semester Parent Welcome & Class Information

Dear Parents,

Hello,
It is wonderful to reconnect with you as we begin the second semester.
My name is Dahui Jeong, and I am happy to continue as the homeroom teacher for the Tongil Class (Grades 3–5, Beginner Level 1) for the 2025–26 school year.
Thank you for continuing this journey with United Seattle Bellevue Korean School.

I would also like to sincerely thank you again for the support and cooperation you provided throughout the previous semester.
Your encouragement at home played an important role in helping the students participate consistently and complete the semester successfully.

The Tongil Class is designed for students who are building a foundation in Korean.
Using Customized Korean 2 as our primary textbook, lessons focus on strengthening reading and writing skills,
while storybooks, songs, and interactive activities support natural listening and speaking practice.

To help students apply Korean in everyday situations, the class emphasizes short sentences, repetition, and practical expressions.
In addition, students will explore Korean culture, traditions, history, and daily etiquette as part of their language learning.

Classes are held in person every Saturday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
(lunch break: 11:20–11:50) at Heritage Christian Academy in Bothell.

• Supplies:
  Textbook, spelling notebook, journal notebook, writing tools (pencil, eraser, colored pencils/markers),
  scissors, glue stick, tape, 1-inch binder, mini whiteboard, whiteboard marker

• Snacks: Lunch is not provided by the school. Please send snacks and water with your child.

• Allergies: Please inform us in advance if your child has any food allergies.

• Home Study: Please review the study plan and school website announcements (lesson summaries and homework),
  and encourage your child to use Korean regularly at home.

• Attendance: If your child will be late or absent, please notify me by email in advance.

Class Photos

Photos may be taken during class to document student activities.
Due to limited photo sharing on the school website, the Tongil Class will use a private Facebook group to share class photos.

An invitation email to join the Facebook group will be sent at the beginning of the semester.
If you do not wish for your child’s photos to be shared, please inform me in advance.

I look forward to another meaningful semester where students grow in confidence and enjoy learning Korean together.
