나라반 학부모님께,

안녕하세요. 나라반 학부모님 여러분.
1월 17일은 1학기 마지막 수업 날입니다. 그동안 나라반 아이들은 자음, 모음, 받침, 쌍자음을 체계적으로 배우며 기본기를 탄탄히 다졌습니다.
또한 한국의 대표적인 전통 명절인 추석과 한글날 행사, 한글 디자인 공모전, 독도의 날 행사에 적극적으로 참여했고, 중간·기말고사까지 훌륭하게 치러 내며 한 학기를 알차게 완주했습니다. 처음 한글학교에 와서 다소 어색하고 낯설었을 한글이었지만, 정해진 커리큘럼에 맞춰 성실하게 수업을 따라와 준 덕분에 멋지게 학습을 마무리할 수 있었습니다. 나라반 모든 학생에게 힘찬 박수와 격려를 보내고 싶습니다.
2학기에도 학부모님들의 바램처럼, 아이들이 한국 문화를 더욱 깊이 이해하고 한글에 대한 애정과 자긍심을 계속 키워 갈 수 있도록 최선을 다해 수업을 준비하겠습니다. 앞으로도 변함없는 관심과 응원 부탁드리며, 가정마다 건강과 기쁨이 가득하시기를 바랍니다.

Dear Nara Class Parents,

January 17 will be the last class day of the first semester. During this semester, the children in Nara Class have systematically studied consonants, vowels, final consonants, and double consonants, and have built a very solid foundation in Korean.
They have also taken part enthusiastically in various activities such as the Chuseok celebration, Hangeul Day event, Hangeul design contest, and Dokdo Day event, and they have successfully completed both the midterm and final exams, making this semester truly meaningful. Although Korean may have felt unfamiliar and a bit awkward when they first came to Korean school, they have faithfully followed the curriculum and worked hard in class, and as a result they have finished their learning wonderfully. I would like to give a big round of applause and warm encouragement to every student in Nara Class.
In the second semester as well, just as you wish for your children, we will do our best to prepare lessons so that they can deepen their understanding of Korean culture and continue to grow in their love and pride for the Korean language. Thank you for your constant trust and support, and I sincerely wish every family good health and joy.

Week 16 – January 17: Lesson Plan
1st period: Review consonants and vowels, practice vocabulary, and read short sentences without final consonants.
2nd period: Review final consonants and double consonants, and read short sentences that include final consonants and double consonants.

3rd period: Award ceremony (Perfect Attendance Award, Excellence Award, Encouragement Award, Effort Award, etc.).
