1. 2025-2026년 말하기 대회

강산반은 초등저학년부에 해당됨으로 1. 동화구연 (서울쥐와 시골쥐) 또는 2. ‘나의 꿈’주제 로 말하기 대회 참가가 가능합니다.

예선 영상은 3/7 까지 seattleevent@usbks.org로 보내주시고 본선은 3/21에 대면으로 심사가 징행됩니다.

​​반드시 3/7까지 예선 영상을 먼저 보내주시기 바랍니다. 

2. 아직 바인더를 구매하지 못한 아이들이 있습니다.

 1학기와 동일하게 1 인치 3링 바인더에 화일 속지 30개 정도를 끼워서 가지고 올 수 있도록 도와주세요.

​​1학기에 바인더를 구입하신 분들은 계속해서 같은 바인더를 가지고 와주시고, 

2학기에 새롭게 들어온 학생들은 1인치 바인더를 준비해주시기 바랍니다.

3. 2026년 교지 표지 공모전

3월 7일 수업중에 아이들과 함께 공모전을 진행할 예정입니다.

혹시 그전에 집에서 아이들이 작품을 그려올 경우 Letter 용지 세료방향으로 3월 7일까지 제출해주시기 바랍니다.

이번주는 설날에 먹는 음식과 놀이들에 대해 배우고

세배는 어떻게 하는지 영상을 통해 알아보고 직접 연습해 보았습니다.

 'ㅏ,ㅑ' 가 들어라는 단어들로 문장을 써보고

직접 쓴 문장을 읽어보는 연습도 했습니다.

만들기 시간에는 노리개도 색칠하고

한국의 전통 놀이인 ‘공기놀이’도 해보았습니다.

1. 인사와 자리잡기   

- ㅏ,ㅑ 가 들어가는 단어들로 문장 만들기 (지난주 복습)

- 문장 말하기 연습

2. 설날 행사

- 설날에 먹는 음식 (떡국 / “왜 떡국을 먹나요?”)

- 전통 놀이 (공기 놀이, 연 날리기, 팽이치기, 윷놀이)

- 세배하는 법

3. 노리개 만들기

- 오방색 (한국의 전통 색)

- 오방색으로 노리개 색칠하기/꾸미기

1. 2025-2026 Speaking Contest

Gangsan class belong to the Lower Elementary Division, so students may participate by choosing one of the following:

1. Storytelling (The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse)

2. My Dream

Please send the preliminary round video by 3/7 to seattleevent@usbks.org 

The Final round will be judged in person on 3/21.

Please make sure to submit the preliminary video by 3/7

2. There are still students who have not prepared a binder.

All students need a 1-inch 3-ring binder with about 30 sheet protectors inside

If you already purchased a binder last semester, please continue to use the same binder.

New students will need to prepare a 1-inch binder.

3. 2026 Yearbook Front Cover Design Contest

On March 7th, we will participate in the Yearbook Front Cover Design Contest.

If your child wishes to complete this at home, please make sure it is done on a vertical letter-size paper 

and brought to class on March 7th.

This week, we learned about the foods and traditional games associated with Lunar New Year.

We watched a video about how to perform the New Year’s bow (sebae) and practiced it ourselves.

We wrote sentences using words that contain “ㅏ“ and “ㅑ“

and practiced reading the sentences we wrote.

During craft time, we colored 노리개 (traditional Korean ornaments) 

and played a traditional Korean game galled 공기 (gonggi).

1. Greeting and Settling Down

- creating sentences with words that contain ㅏ,ㅑ (last week's review)

2. Lunar New Year

- Foods eaten during Lunar New Years (떡국 / Why do we eat 떡국?)

- Traditional games

- How to perform the New Year’s bow (sebae)

3. Making 노리개

- 오방색 (Obangsaek - the five traditional Korean colors)

- Coloring and decorating 노리개 using the five traditional colors
