2/28 태극기/Taegeukgi-Korean flag

오늘은 3.1절을 기념하며 태극기를 만들어 보았습니다. 아이들은 티슈 페이퍼를 손으로 찢어 태극 문양에 붙이며 소근육(fine motor skill)을 연습했습니다. 작게 찢고 뭉쳐 원안에 붙이는 과정이 인내심을 필요로 했지만 모두 차분하게 참여하며 즐겁게 활동했습니다.

네 모서리의 건곤감리 4괘를 색칠하는 과정이 다소 어려운 친구들도 있었지만 끝까지 포기하지 않고 작품을 완성했습니다. 아이들의 노력과 집중을 집에서도 많이 칭찬해 주세요!

Today we celebrated March 1st (Korean Independence Movement Day) by making the Korean flag, Taegeukgi. The children practiced their fine motor skills by tearing tissue paper with their hands and pasting it onto the Taegeuk symbol. Tearing and crumpling the small pieces required patience but everyone participated calmly and enjoyed the activity.

Coloring the four trigrams in the corners was challenging for some students, but they did not give up and worked hard to complete their flags. Please praise your child at home for their effort and perseverance!
